About Our Studio

Thrive Pilates Studio was born from owner Alisa Meier’s personal journey of healing and a deep desire to help others discover the transformative power of movement.

After moving to the United States, Alisa found Pilates while recovering from tennis injuries after years of professional tennis. Experiencing firsthand how it could heal the body ignited a passion she didn't know she had. She'd always wanted to help people feel better and get fit, but other paths never felt quite right. Pilates was different.

Alisa started small—practicing occasionally for herself—then began teaching at an unused studio in the hospital where she worked. Doctors and nurses kept asking for more classes, and she realized there was something special happening. When she relocated to The Pines and the studio where she taught closed, she found herself having coffee at High Octane with her newborn and noticed the space next door was available and move-in ready. Her husband encouraged her to “make it work,” chaos and all.

Two days after signing the lease at 101 W South Street, on November 2, 2018, Alisa taught her first 8am class to a completely full room. The community was ready. Since then, Thrive has grown beyond what she imagined—adding instructors and equipment, building meaningful relationships with clients, and giving back through fundraisers for causes close to the her heart and the community’s.

Thrive is more than a studio—it's a community built on trust, healing, and the belief that everyone deserves to feel strong and whole. We cannot wait to see you there!
